Duck Hunt — Season 2

GameSurge · #duckhunt · Hunt3r · Began October 1, 2026

Wait for a duck. Take your shot. Try not to hit the other hunters. Season 2 starts everyone fresh and expands the hunt to 99 levels and 22 ranks, with 50,090 XP needed to reach the top.

Quick start

You begin as a level 1 Tourist with 0 XP, 8 bullets loaded, and 2 reserve chargers. Starting accuracy is 55%, with a 15% chance of jamming on an attempt. Missing a few early ducks is part of the climb.

Ducks and rewards

The normal schedule is 96 ducks per day, with approximately 14 goldens included. Golden appearances are random, so their daily count varies. Bread, decoys, and special events can add more activity.

Duck Health Base XP for the finishing shot
Regular 1 HP 15 XP
Golden 2 HP 32 XP
Golden 3 HP 48 XP
Golden 4 HP 64 XP

Golden rewards are 16 XP × starting health. AP and explosive ammunition can finish them in fewer hits without reducing their reward. The hunter who finishes the duck receives the kill reward.

A clover adds its bonus to the kill reward. A duck finished by a ricochet awards an additional 60 XP lucky-shot bonus, although any accident penalties still apply.

Ducks normally escape after 10 minutes. Regular ducks can also flee after four noisy shots; successful shots can frighten other ducks still in flight. Goldens cannot be frightened away, but their escape timer still applies. Silencers prevent your shots from contributing to the noise.

Mechanical ducks are decoys launched by players. They have no base kill reward; in the current game, clover bonuses and random drops can still apply.

Ammunition and gun care

A charger is a spare magazine. The loaded magazine is separate from your reserve chargers.

Levels Bullets per charger Reserve chargers Full-stock total, including loaded gun
1–14 8 2 24
15–29 6 3 24
30–49 4 4 20
50–69 3 5 18
70–98 2 6 14
99 2 7 16

Grease halves the jamming chance, rounding down to a whole percentage: 15% becomes 7%, and 25% becomes 12%. It lasts up to 24 hours, but blocking a sand attack consumes it early.

High-level guns are more accurate, but jamming rises again late in the progression. Accuracy is the chance to hit once a shot gets past the jam check; it is not a guarantee that every !bang produces a hit.

XP, shopping, and penalties

XP determines your level and also pays for shop purchases. Spending it can lower your level. You cannot buy an item if its cost would take you below 0 XP, although missed shots and accidents can make your XP negative.

Levels Miss Extra penalty with no duck present Accident, per player hit
0–19 −1 −1 −4
20–39 −1 −2 −6
40–59 −2 −3 −8
60–79 −2 −5 −12
80–99 −3 −8 −20

These penalties stack. At level 80+, firing with no duck present costs 11 XP: 3 for the miss and 8 for firing wild. Hitting another hunter adds another 20 XP before insurance.

A hunter at −5 XP or below becomes level 0: Public Danger, with 8-round capacity and only 1 reserve charger. Level 1 covers −4 through 19 XP; new players start at 0.

Accidents and insurance

A missed shot can hit another hunter. Your gun is confiscated if you hit someone, even if they survive. In the current setup, confiscated guns are returned automatically when all ducks currently in flight have been cleared; if none are up, wait for the next duck to be killed or escape. Shop item 5 buys your gun back immediately.

Only registered hunters are eligible stray-bullet targets; people who have never played are excluded. Game accidents do not kick people or change their voice status.

Armor can absorb a hit. Deflection can send the bullet onward to another hunter or a duck. Deflection is checked first, then armor; the two percentages are not added together. One bullet can make up to five deflections. Each deflection has an 18% chance of hitting a duck if one is present.

The policies work independently: the shooter’s liability insurance does not reduce the victim’s life-insurance payout.

Shop

Buy with !shop <number>. Targeted items use !shop <number> <nick>. For example, !shop 6 buys grease; !shop 15 crwlr throws sand into crwlr’s gun.

# Item Cost (XP) Effect
1 Extra bullet 4 Adds one bullet directly to your gun, up to its capacity.
2 Extra charger 15 Adds one reserve charger, up to your level’s limit.
3 AP ammunition 15 2 damage per successful hit for 24 hours.
4 Explosive ammunition 25 3 damage per successful hit for 24 hours.
5 Repurchase confiscated gun 30 Get your confiscated gun back immediately.
6 Grease 8 Halves jamming risk for up to 24 hours; blocks one sand attack, consuming the grease.
7 Sight 6 One-shot accuracy aid; adds one-third of the gap between base accuracy and 100%, rounded down.
8 Infrared detector 15 Blocks firing when no duck is present. Up to 10 uses or 24 hours.
9 Silencer 5 Stops your shots from frightening ducks for 24 hours.
10 Four-leaf clover 13 Adds 1–10 XP per kill for 24 hours. The bonus is rolled once when purchased.
11 Sunglasses 5 24-hour equipment intended to block mirrors; see the note below.
12 Spare clothes 7 Removes the water-bucket effect immediately.
13 Brush for gun 7 Removes sand and sabotage effects.
14 Mirror 7 Halves the target’s base accuracy for their next shot. Requires a nick.
15 Handful of sand 7 Doubles the target’s jamming chance for their next shooting attempt. Requires a nick.
16 Water bucket 10 Soaks a hunter, stopping them from hunting for one hour unless they buy spare clothes. Requires a nick.
17 Sabotage 14 Forces the target’s next shooting attempt to jam. Requires a nick.
18 Life insurance 10 One accidental-hit payout of twice the shooter’s level; valid for one week.
19 Liability insurance 5 Reduces accident penalties to one-third, rounded up, for 48 hours.
20 Decoy 8 Attracts a duck within ten minutes; goldens are possible. Everyone can shoot it.
21 Piece of bread 2 Attracts more ducks and extends escape time. Each piece lasts one hour; shop limit 30 active pieces.
22 Duck detector 5 One private warning five seconds before a duck appears.
23 Mechanical duck 50 Schedules a mechanical duck in ten minutes. No base kill XP.

AP and explosive ammunition replace one another; their damage bonuses do not stack.

Each active piece of bread adds 20 seconds to a duck’s escape timer when it appears. Thirty pieces make that timer 20 minutes instead of 10. Bread benefits the whole channel; buying a decoy does not reserve its duck for you.

Complete level progression

XP to reach is the entry threshold, not the cost of the next level. Accuracy, jam chance, deflection, and armor are base values before equipment effects. The loaded magazine is not included in the reserve count.
